HealthKit Data
CaliCalo reads data from HealthKit to display resting, active, and dietary calories. These values are also used to calculate net calories. HealthKit data is not permanently stored or shared in any way and remains within Apple's HealthKit framework on your device.
Analytics
CaliCalo uses Mixpanel to understand how the app is used so we can improve features and fix issues. We collect anonymized usage data such as which screens you view, which features you use, and whether actions succeed or fail.
The following are never sent to Mixpanel:
- Health or HealthKit data of any kind
- Food names, meal names, or voice transcripts you enter
- Your name, email, or any contact information
To track usage across app launches, an anonymous identifier is generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain. This identifier is not linked to your Apple ID, Apple Health, or any other account.
For more information on how Mixpanel handles data, see Mixpanel's privacy policy.
